Sizanani is Africa’s largest transport and logistics management system and trading
zone, with more than a 1 000 registered transport and logistics providers being
managed every day. On average the logistics of more than 450 000 tons of cargo and
1 million parcels per month are managed on the Sizanani system.
Sizanani pioneered and was the first Logistics management system and trading zone
to go live on the internet in 1999. A significant community of transporters, cargo
owners and end customers have come together over the years to collaborate on transport
efficiencies for common benefit.
Sizanani focuses on specific market niches and has created alliances with 3rd party
contractors and strategically positioned 4PL management companies.
It has also invested in acquiring the ADMS distribution management system, which
was developed by AIMS (100% Altron owned subsidiary), to give Sizanani the ability
to provide a courier-based, multi-parcel, management capability.
Sizanani has also developed a dynamic internet-based staff management system (SDM
– Staff Data Management system) and employs 2 500 permanent staff members who are
utilized by leading companies in their logistics divisions.
Christo Rothmann was the initial founder and creative driver behind Sizanani. He
built a powerful team of enthusiastic technical experts in their respective fields
to produce the comprehensive system of Sizanani as it exists today. Sizanani’s people
work in a spirit of close partnership with clients to deliver the maximum impact
for their investment, leading as quickly as possible to organizational self-sufficiency
in a sustainable culture of ongoing system improvement.
